Public Access & Consultation Online
Software is provided to scan and index hard copy documents
into a repository for publishing to the Council's own
web site as PDF files. This would enable members of the
public, or interested parties to view the Public Register
of licenses online, and submit
comments on proposals.
This package would also provide officers with the facility
to review and process case files internally, including
links to the back-office, to view documents straight from
the existing data processing system.
Online Form Submission
Apart from providing an additional channel for service delivery, the
main benefit of providing online forms to the public would be streamlining
the verification process and making the process more accurate.
A standard set of e-forms is available or, alternatively, forms can
be designed to match the council ’s existing forms.
IDOX will build the necessary links with the Council’s payment
server and back-office system using XML. An end-user will have the ability
to complete a new form, renew a license or make an application for amendment.
A form submitted online will be routed via IDOX Workflow enabling officers
to review incoming applications internally and flag them for public
access, if appropriate. Once data is verified, it can be sent directly
to the back-office system.
